Angela C. Cameron

Associate

Angie is a member of Johnston Barton's Health Care Practice Group.  As a member of the Health Care Liability Defense Practice Team,  she is focused on the direct liability defense of physicians, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other specialized care institutions in cases alleging medical malpractice. She is knowledgeable regarding the myriad of state and federal laws and regulations impacting the potential tort liability of the long term care industry.

Prior to joining Johnston Barton in 2004, Angie earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Alabama (B.A., cum laude, 1998) and her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Alabama School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2004). While in law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of the Legal Profession and is the author of Can Elected Judges Maintain the Integrity of the Court, 28 Journal of the Legal Profession 115(2004).

Angie serves as a VP on the Executive Committee for the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and is also a member of the Alabama and Mississippi State Bar Associations.  She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama and the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
